Jerusalem (TPS) – Palestinians fired on an Israeli car Shabbos evening near Karmei Tzur, north of Chevron. No injuries or property damage were reported.
The incident followed a series of incidents Friday night near Ofra, north of Yerushalayim. At 10:35 p.m. a Palestinian man threw two firecrackers at an IDF checkpoint. IDF troops scoured the area and set up an additional checkpoint.
Later, a Palestinian car tried to run the soldiers over but crashed into a cement block. The driver then exited the vehicle brandishing a knife and ran towards the soldiers, who shot and wounded the attacker. He was transferred to Hadassah University Hospital – Mount Scopus and was listed in critical but stable condition.
