Stabbing Attack in East Yerushalayim; Terrorist Neutralized

A security guard was stabbed and lightly injured near Sultan Suleiman St. in east Yerushalayim. The terrorist was neutralized.

A police spokesman said a woman armed with a knife approached the injured man at a light rail station near Shar Shechem on the corner of Bar Lev and Sultan Suleiman streets and stabbed him in the shoulder. A Border Police force stationed nearby saw the incident, tackled the terrorist and arrested her. The injured man was evacuated to the hospital with light wounds.

The terrorist first tried stabbing a yungerman on the way home from the kosel. The yungerman escaped in the last second with nisim as can be seen in the accompanied video released by Israel police.

Senior MDA EMT, Yosef Kalman, said: “When we arrived near the bus parking lot at the end of Hanevi’im Street near Sultan Suleiman Street, we saw a 31-year-old man with a stab wound in his arm, a policeman was giving him first aid, we treated him and evacuated him to the hospital in mild condition.”
