Syrian Mortar Hits Golan Heights; No Injuries

A mortar that hit the Golan Heights Monday was a “stray” explosive from the Syrian civil war, the IDF said in a statement.

The army said that troops returned fire in the direction of the mortar, towards the Syrian side of the border fence in the northern Golan Heights. No injuries or property damage were reported.

“The IDF holds the Assad regime responsible for everything that happens in areas under its control and will not tolerate attempts to violate the sovereignty of the State of Israel or the security of residents.
