As I remember the writing of this piece, בס”ד, DEDI with the sparkling, scintillating and exciting color in his bright voice wanted a composition that was more than just a 2-part song. More of a musical ‘piece.’ Something that we called at the time, a יצירה, containing different moods and movements in its composition.

I had just made a סיום on this very מסכת יבמות the first time and this final text (one that appears and ends off a Mesechta in THREE other Mesechtos for a total of FOUR) excited me to no end! Mona added the sparklers and off we were.

He has written over 700 melodies in the genres of pop music, classical music, liturgical music, Hasidic music, and show tunes. His songs have appeared on over 120 albums and CDs. His clients include the superstars of the Orthodox Jewish music world, such as Mordechai Ben David, Avraham Fried, Yaakov Shwekey, Lipa Schmeltzer, Shloime Gertner, Ohad, and Dedi.
