Rabbi Avigdor Miller ztl changed the world. Through more than a dozen books and thousands of recorded lectures, Rabbi Miller left a deep and indelible impression on Jews the world over. A talmid of the famous Slobodka yeshiva (Rabbi Isaac Sher ztl), Rabbi Miller was profoundly influenced by the Mussar movement and dreamt of transplanting and adapting the old-world Mussar approach to Torah study to American soil. In 1983, Rabbi Miller and his son Rabbi Shmuel Miller ztl founded Yeshiva Gedolah Bais Yisroel.
