A Surprise Encounter in Upstate NY on Election Day

It’s Tuesday morning — Election Day — and Yoilish is upstate. Curious to see how people value the day, he calls his good friend, the well-known askan Avrumi Rosenberg, thinking he might guide him to a voting spot.

Turns out — Avrumi is just minutes away, personally picking up one single vote from someone who couldn’t get there on their own.

Yoilish says, “That I have to see,” and drives 10 minutes to the EMS in Bethel. When he gets there — another surprise — he bumps into an old friend from their younger years, Hilly Berger, who’s also involved in helping people vote.
