Rav Shaul Alter, the Gerrer rosh yeshiva, has arrived in the United States for a visit during which he’s expected to be greeted by thousands during various stops.
The son of the Pnei Menachem of Ger, Rav Shaul served as the rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Sefas Emes Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel and today heads Kehillas V’Yeshivas Pnei Menachem.
He is renowned for his extraordinary yedios haTorah, his in-depth shiurim, his clarity of thought, and his insightful approaches to chinuch and hashkafah.
Rav Shaul was greeted by a large crowd at John F. Kennedy International Airport and then went to Boro Park, where he davened Shacharis and then attended a lechayim. This was followed by visits to Yeshiva Yagdil Torah, Rav Moshe Fogel, the Yagdil Torah Mechina, Yeshiva Ketana Yagdil Torah, and Kollel Pnei Menachem.
His highly anticipated visit to the US will continue with many shiurim, shmuessen, and chizuk stops.
